THE HORSES PART V VOLUNTEERS' HORSES

Tracy's Scout. [ " Roly" ]

Scout arrived here like a shiny Sherman Tank and exploded off the horse float. Since then he has settled down wonderfully and was one of our weight bearing horses for a number of years. Recently he became very impatient with heavy beginner riders and was taken off the list and Rod used him as a guide horse. Even more recently our friend Tracy has swapped her Galleon for Scout so Scout is now in for one to one spoiling which he seems to enjoy.

Linda's Squirt . - - [ " Miss Smoothies Song " ]

This is the most perfect horse up here!. Squirt belongs to our friend Linda and can do no wrong in Linda's eyes. Woe betide anyone who criticises Squirt or suggests she might be fat. It is water retention or potential muscle!. Squirt has been here a very long time and is retired now. Like all the original horses she has very good manners with people. Bit rude to lesser horses though.

Tracy's Coco . - - [ " Final Cloud" ]

Coco is friend Tracy's other "baby". She bought him from us some years ago. He is her ready made horse whereas Galleon and Scout need work. Coco doesn't suffer fools gladly in either people or horses. Most of the mares lust after him at times and he chases them all off without a backward glance. He can also be quite rude to lesser humans. Years ago I was chasing Boogie and him down the hill and they stopped and wouldn't budge on a steep bit.I threw a clod of horse poo and Boogie hoofed it on down. Coco looked horrified, pivoted on a sixpence and came at speed to see who had thrown it!!
