This is a VERY quiet, safe ride for nervous beginners and children and it proceeds out and back on the same track. There is nowhere for horses to misbehave should they feel like so doing. Enjoy a peaceful hour in the company of a user friendly horse who knows the way by heart.

Branch River One Hour.       Approx. One Hour.                   $60 Each

Picture

A one hour ride for the slightly more adventurous rider with lots of river crossings to negotiate on the way. We can guarantee to get you jolly wet if you want to take your horse paddling in a pool.

Possum's Gate Trek.        1.5   Hours       $80 Each

This trek travels further up the Branch Creek.  We are only twenty minutes from town but you would never know it. Plenty of opportunities to see sheep and cattle, possibly wild goats and listen to the bell birds and king fishers.

Branch River Trek.           Two Hours.          $100

Picture

This trek meanders up the Branch Creek all the way to a now ruined Musterers Hut. In the old days, pre engines, the farm workers used to arrive here with horses and wagons, do their fencing or shearing or lambing work, staying in the cob hut each night. When they were finally finished it was wagons roll for home.  The big earthquakes of a few years back demolished the last of the cob walls.  The horses usually stop to graze here at the turnaround point on the trek.

Swim, Paddle and Splosh Ride.      Approx One and a Half Hour.          $90

Picture
This ride only available in the summer and in very hot weather.  Who is able to go on the ride is at the owners' discretion as there needs to be some riding ability, brakes, steering and the like.  Be warned  -  you will get wet!
